Every fairy tale comes to an end and so does our Italian adventure. On our last day in Umbria we drive to Perugia and visit Piazza IV Novembre with the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo and Cappella di San Severo. A quick stroll around, a slice of pizza on our way and we have to farewell the town.
We now head to Gubbio, a medieval village with an extraordinary beauty inside. We want to have an idea of the most interesting things to see to get on a touristic train that shows us the best of Gubbio. Then a deserved visit to Palazzo dei Consoli and Palazzo del Podestà in the main square, Piazza Grande.
Another fantastic day discovering and walking around beautiful towns. Unfortunately the road awaits us and we still have a good 350 km to get home. This doesn’t stop us to finish off our holiday in the best way possible. We have a break in a trattoria found by chance in Cesena and we take the opportunity to taste some specialties from Emilia region: crispy bread with ratatouille, raw mushroom and parmigiano salad, ravioli with mushroom and spinach sauce and some more sautéed veggies. Lucky me!
